Braided Headband
I found this cute braided headband by Conair at the local CVS Store (formally Longs Drugs). I thought it was cute, so I bought it at $7 dollars, which is kind of high for a headband. But decided to get it because it looked like it would last for a long time. The only problem is that the little brown elastic band on the bottom, wasn't big enough - that thing was way to tight when I put it on for the first time. So I cut off the little brown band at the bottem of the headband, and tied on my own little slim black hair tie. It fit much better.

Spinach soup.
Here's how to go about making it:
You need:
- one medim-sized onion
- three cloves of garlic
- frozen spinach
- water
- butter
- flour
- cream
- salt and pepper
1. Thaw frozen spinach. I used about 800 grams since I wanted soup that would last for a few days.
2. Chop the onion and garlic into small pieces.
3. Sauté in a pan on medium heath for 5-10 minutes.
4. When the spinach is thawed, add it to the pan and fill up with water. (Sorry about the blurry photo).
5. While the soup begins to boil melt about 50 grams of butter that you mix with a couple of teaspoons with flour. To that you add a little bit of cream. Add to the soup and stir well.
6. Let it boil for ten minutes and season with salt and pepper as you see fit.
7.Ready!

My new office... :-)
For my folks on Facebook, sorry for the repeat of info... lol. Last year, I was working from home. But that project came to an end. So now, I am back to the nine to five. I am really enjoying my new job - and hope that I will stay with this company for a long time. Anyway - absolutely nothing to do with Naturally Beautiful Hair. But I am really happy about having a little space to call my own. I am glowing from the inside out. And hoping that I am not jinxing myself right now. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that I will have a long and successful career with my current company. Have a good weekend everyone!

Wearing my self-made dress!
I finally managed to get around to sewing the hem and fixing the collar on the dress I made at the sewing course I took part in for a few weeks in the autumn. I'm so pleased to finally be able to wear it, and it's so much fun to wear something you've made yourself (even if I know it still isn't perfect with it being somewhat too big at my back).
I also want to apologize for being such a bad blogger as of lately - I am moving to Israel in less than a month and there is so much too fix before that can happen (I often think I'm going to get crazy dealing with everything), and I am also trying to work a lot so that I'll have some money while I'm there. Until then, I will be trying to blog as often as I can - if the weather continues to be mild like today that shouldn't be too unachievable (except that it would mean that I'd get wet if I sit in the snow!)
Self-made plaid dress, tights from Gina Tricot, shoes from Kipper, whistle necklace from Les Jumelles Boutique, and hair band from Vero Moda.
PS: Before I forget, I hope to be able to put up some more things in my shop that I need to get rid of before I move. That includes two mint issues of Lula magazine (the recent one and the one before that). Would any of you be interested in that?

"I am an east African, learning how to wear my body, and trying to be the best ME! Enjoying life, learning simplicity, and at this very moment - I am just a sponge. I have encountered many things, and through time I have learned, human beings are not programmed to endure a predestined life… Life goes on – relationships change, friendships grow, acquaintances flourish … "
